Adonis at PlayRoom

Thursday, Mar 26, 2015
8:00pm -> 11:00pm
Playroom

Even though Adonis’ upcoming release is not due before summer, they felt that it wouldn’t be right to wait that long before hitting the stage again.

For one night only, they will be turning the notorious Playroom into an intimate music session, performing their old favorites, and showcasing, for the first time, songs from the new album.

Adonis is a five-piece Lebanese pop/rock band, famed for its festive melodies and engaging Arabic lyrics. Weaved around storytelling, catchy tunes, and playful arrangements, the band’s music is becoming a voice for today’s educated, ambitious and freethinking Arab youth.

Formed in 2010 by architecture students Anthony Khoury & Joey Abu Jawdeh, Adonis made its first steps as an online sensation, with signature tracks like ‘Stouh Adonis’ and ‘Sawt el Madini’. The band has since grown to headline major festivals (including the 2013 edition of the prominent ‘Beirut Holidays’ festival), and perform at the most prestigious venues across Lebanon and the Arab world.

Adonis is now collaborating with regional music pioneer and producer Jean-Marie Riachi on its upcoming release, due in Summer 2015.
