Local Hair Donation Drive Makes the Cut

“One in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in her lifetime and nearly 60% of them regard hair loss as the single worst side effect of cancer treatment. “

A local NGO launched in September 2012, Make the Cut: Hair Donation Campaign, aims to help these women feel better about themselves, collecting donated hair to make wigs for patients with cancer.

The campaign, which specifically aims to support Lebanese Breast Cancer awareness, will run until June 2013—so you’ve got plenty of time to consider that long awaited haircut. So style it up and help other women feel beautiful again. All it takes is 15 cm.

And anyways, short hair is totally in.
